MISHAWAKA - Ruth Persell Robinson,
86, of West LaSalle Avenue, died at 10:50 p.m. Friday in
Meridian-Cardinal Nursing Center, South Bend. Mrs. Robinson had
been a home economics teacher at Penn-Harris-Madison schools
until her retirement. She was born Aug. 6, 1908, in Filer, Idaho.
On June 1, 1940, in Harper, Kan., as Ruth Persell,
she married Dr. Kenneth Robinson. He survives with a son, Paul of
Buenos Vista, Colo.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Rhoda
Persell Foster of Glendale, Calif. She taught at
elementary and secondary schools in Nebraska and Kansas, also at
Taylor University and Seattle Pacific University. She was a
licensed minister in the Missionary Church and held pastorates in
Kansas, California and Indiana.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel
College.
