MISHAWAKA - George W. "Bill" Robinson, 83, was born on
February 22, 1926, in Mishawaka, Indiana. He died peacefully in
his sleep at his home in Brea, CA, on January 2, 2010. In 1988
Bill retired from Weber's Bakery as a route salesman and spent
the last 22 years of his life enjoying his favorite things, which
included playing and watching his grandchildren grow and mature,
camping with friends, playing bridge and golf, traveling, and
being a great husband and father. Bill is survived by his wife,
Nora Lee; sons, Scott of Los Angeles and Tom of Redman, Oregon;
daughters, Renee Robertson of Midland, Texas, Nancy Brown of
Irvine, CA, Rebecca Weston of Brea, CA, and their spouses; eight
grandchildren, Angela and Matthew Robertson, Brian Robinson,
Tyler and Ryan Robinson, Todd and Kurt Brown and Van Weston;
sisters, Loretta Blakeman, Patricia Jachimiak and Betty Buchanan;
and brothers, Dan and Jim. A memorial service was held at Memory
Garden Memorial Park, 455 West Central Avenue, Brea, on Friday,
January 8, at 4:30 p.m. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in Bill's memory to Talk About Curing
Autism (TACA), 3070 Bristol Street, Suite #340, Costa Mesa, CA
92626; or to a favorite charity.
