Dorothy Kathryn Robinson

MISHAWAKA - Dorothy Kathryn Robinson, 92, formerly of
Webster Street, Mishawaka, passed away after a long illness on
Friday, June 1, in Morningside Nursing and Memory Center, South
Bend. Dorothy was born to the late Homer and Dersa (King) Cunningham.
Her mother Dersa died shortly after giving birth and Dorothy was
raised from the time she was a month old by Elza and Vannie Moore,
her mother's first cousin. Dorothy was a graduate of Mishawaka
High School, class of 1932, and was a lifelong member of First
United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. She worked for Ball
Band/Uniroyal and then was a librarian at the Mishawaka Public
Library.
On July 24, 1937, she married Kenneth
Robinson, who preceded her in death on September 27, 1986.
Surviving Dorothy are her twin daughters, Susan (Wm. P.) Yerkes
of Granger and Sally (Tony) Nasco of Edwardsburg, MI; five
grandchildren, Dawn Nina (Tim) Edwards, Debra Sue Reed,
Timothy T. (Stacy) Nasco, Charmayne Sue (Don) Daly and
Suzanne Jo (Mike) Young; and 12 great-grandchildren. She
was a fantastic mother, grandmother and friend. Dorothy will be
missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her
grandchildren whom she adored with all of her heart.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday,
June 6, in First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, with Rev.
Ron Bowman officiating. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, was in
charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church,
201 E. Third Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544; or to The Center for
