South Bend, IN Carol Virginia
Robinson, 59, residing on High Street, South Bend, Ind.,
passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at 9:58 a.m. on
Friday, Jan. 10, in her residence. Carol was born on Jan. 24,
1943, in Pennsylvania, and had resided in South Bend since
November 2001, moving from Lake Station, Ind.
On July 27, 1989, in Bakersfield, Calif.,
she married Preston Robinson, who preceded her in death. She was
also preceded in death by her mother, Violet (Clark) Gill; and by
a son, John Wayne Hamilton. Carol is survived by three daughters,
Carrie Heilman of Arvada, Colo., Karen Hamilton of
Lake Station and Kathy (Ken) Brown of South Bend; four
sons, Paul Hamilton of Portage, Ind., Jerry (Melody) Hamilton of
Portage, Joey Hamilton of South Bend and Rob Hamilton of Mojave,
Calif.; 30 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one
on-the-way; her father, Grover Gill of Burgettstown, Pa.;
one sister, Patricia Zeil of Las Vegas, Nev.; and by six
brothers, Robert Gill of Burgettstown, David and Donald Gill,
both of Las Vegas, Grover and Tommy Gill, both of California, and
Jimmy Gill of Pennsylvania.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, Rev.
Sam Oliver, chaplain with Hospice of St. Joseph County, will
officiate. Burial will follow. Private visitation will take place
in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan
Street, South Bend. Contributions in memory of Carol Virginia
