Mrs. Stella L. Roberts

February 5, 1902 – June 23, 1979

Mrs. Stella L. Roberts, 77, of New Albany IN, formerly of South Bend, died at 2:30am today in the Floyd County Memorial Hospital, New Albany, after a brief illness.

She was born February 5, 1902, in Harrison County IN and was a lifetime resident of the South Bend area, moving to New Albany three years ago.

As Stella L. Kelly, on July 23, 1929 in New Albany, she married Charles E. Roberts, who died February 2, 1965.  She is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jean Fitzpatrick of Terre Haute and Mrs. Georgia Elgan of Corydon IN.

Services will be at 11am Monday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, with Rev. Robert Curtis, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Friends may call form 5 to 9pm Sunday at the funeral home  She was a former member of the First Baptist Church.
