Harold Roberts
Harold Roberts, 73, of 601 E. 3rd
St., died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday in St. Josephs Hospital after
an illness of three months. He retired from Uniroyal, Inc.,
in 1963. Mr. Roberts was born Aug. 7, 1897 in Henderson,
Ky., and came to Mishawaka from that state in 1920. On July
12, 1928 he married Miss Mary Bickel in St. Josephs
Church in this city. She survives along with a brother,
C.H. Roberts of Henderson, and four sisters, Mrs. Jack Crafton
and Mrs. Cecil King of Henderson, Mrs. Wyatt Backett of
Bowling Green, Ky. and Mrs. Raymond Rodgers of Louisville,
Ky. Friends may call at the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home
from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday. The deceased was a member of St. Josephs
Church and Mishawaka Council 1878, knights of Columbus. Funeral
arrangements are being completed.

Funeral services for Harold Roberts, 73, of
601 E. 3rd St., who died Sunday in St. Josephs
Hospital after an illness of three months, will be held at 10
a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A.
Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m.
today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the
Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited
at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday by members of Mishawaka Council 1878,
Knights of Columbus.
