Richard C. "Rich" Robaska Sr.,
78, died at 11:15 p.m. on Monday, June 3, in the Ironwood Health
and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Jan. 7, 1924, in South
Bend, Ind., to C.P. and Sophia (Jarozewski) Robaska, who
preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife,
Loretta M. (Wiatrolik) Robaska; and by a brother, Alfred B.
Robaska. Richard is survived by a daughter, Debra K. (Chris) Noetzel
of South Bend; three sons, Ronald D. (Janey) Robaska of Berrien
Springs, Mich., Richard C. Robaska Jr. of Daytona Beach, Fla.,
and Robert J. (Annie) Robaska of Mishawaka, Ind.; 12
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy
Robaska and Betty Rizzo, both of South Bend; and by a
brother, Donald E. Robaska of South Bend.
Richard was a World War II veteran of the
U.S. Navy. He retired from A.M. General after 11 years as a
government inspector. He was a member of American Legion Post
284, Lieghton Center for Seniors and St. Adalbert Catholic
Church.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m.
Thursday, June 6, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
Mayflower Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. Services will
be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 7, in St. Adalbert Catholic
Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Adalbert
Building Fund.
