G. Marie Ritter

G. Marie Ritter, 95, formerly of North Main Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, in St. Joseph Care Center West, South Bend, Ind. She retired as a bookkeeper from Uniroyal in 1967. Marie was born in Rochester, Ind., on May 27, 1902, to John and Jeanette White, who both preceded her in death.

Marie married Carl Ritter in Michigan City, Ind., on July 21, 1922. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1975. Marie is survived by three daughters, Janet (Leonard) Niemier of South Bend, Carol Franklin of Gretna, La., and Kay (Ray) Niedbala of Granger, Ind.; a son, Jon (Brenda) Ritter of Granger; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and will be held one hour prior to 10 a.m. services today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Earl Rynearson. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
