March 19, 1909 - June 9, 2002

Joseph A. Rightley, 93, of Rochester Hills, Mich., died Sunday, June 9, 2002.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Florence Rightley and Mary Rightley. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Dear father of James (Maxine) Rightley of Mishawaka, Ind., and Joan (Glen) Lehman of Potomac Falls, Va. He is survived by five granddaughters, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, and by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rightley was retired from the Studebaker Corporation in South Bend, Ind., and the UAW in Detroit, Mich. He was very active at Meadow Brook Hall at Oakland University and the Older Persons Commission in Rochester.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, in the Potere-Modetz Funeral Home, 339 Walnut Blvd, Rochester. At 8 p.m. a memorial service will be held.

The family suggests any memorials be made to Meadow Brook Hall or to the Older Persons Commission. Envelopes are available in the funeral home.

A burial service at St. Michael's Cemetery in Plymouth, Ind., will be held at a later date.
