GRANGER - Dennis W. Rienks, 47, of Lincoln Drive, died of carbon monoxide poisoning at 6:30 p.m. Friday at his home. Death was ruled accidental by Elkhart County Coroner Jeanette Albert. He was employed by Pierce and Associates, South Bend. He was born Jan. 5, 1947, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident.
On Oct. 14, 1966, in Niles, he married Isabella McPhail. She survives with two sons, Jeffrey of Osceola and Scott of Elkhart; four grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Buell of Osceola and Shirley Apalara of Iowa; and a brother, Rodney of Edwardsburg. He was a Marine veteran and a member of BK Club, Mishawaka.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or St. Joseph County Council for the Retarded.
