MISHAWAKA - Ron M. Rieff, 48, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Chicago on Saturday, July 26, 2008. Ron was born to Jack L. and Sally A. (Roelandts) Rieff on April 10, 1960, in Mishawaka, IN. Surviving Ron are his mother, Sally Rieff, and grandmother, Martha Roelandts, both of Mishawaka; brothers, Craig A. (Laura) Rieff of Granger and Rick A. (Sharon) Rieff of South Bend; a sister, Karen M. Tirotta of Granger; and his companion, Kim McDannel of Chicago. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, Ryan, Lauren, Anthony, Austin and Delaney Rieff, Teddi, Travis and Troy Tirotta, whom he loved and enjoyed spending time with. His aunts, Cindy (Jeff) Berg, Dixie (Dan) Dahms and Lindy (Don) O'Dell, and cousins, Christopher and Jonathon Berg, Darin and Derek Dahms are also surviving.

He graduated from Mishawaka High School and Western Michigan University. Soon after graduation he moved to Chicago, a city he loved living in, and worked in the restaurant business as a maitre d'. Ron was a loving and caring person who enjoyed the small flower garden he had created at his home. He was especially proud of his Princess Diane Roses. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends in both Mishawaka and Chicago. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Rieff, and grandparents, Carole and Earl Rieff, and Maurice Roelandts.
