SOUTH BEND - Raymond M. Riedl, 53, of
S. Franklin Street, passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12,
in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Riedl had worked for the South Bend
Water Works and had recently been employed by St. Mary's Medical
plaza. He was born on Feb. 5, 1945, in South Bend, Ind., to
Raymond K. and Anna Riedl. They both preceded him in death.
On July 18, 1975, in Pulaski, Tenn., he
married Patty Griggs, who survives. He is also survived by
a daughter, Janeen Riedl of South Bend; a son, Justin Riedl of
South Bend; three grandchildren, Jaron Riedl, Jaylon Riedl and
Jordan Riedl; and by two brothers, John Ross of
Louisville, Ky., and Andrew Riedl of South Bend. Mr. Riedl served
in the United States Army, and was a member of the American
Legion Post 363.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on
Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Burial
will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions
may be made to the American Cancer Society.
