SOUTH BEND - Frank A. Riedle, 71, of
816 Park Ave., died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday in Healthwin Hospital
and Nursing Home after an illness. Mr. Riedle retired as a
Realtor after more than 20 years of service. He was born June 12,
1922, in Chicago and lived in South Bend since 1951, coming from
Chicago.
On May 6, 1950, in Chicago, he married
Marialyce Matthews. She survives with three daughters,
Mary Christina O'Gorman of Houston, Mary Firth of
Mishawaka and Kate Fahey of Noblesville, Ind.; five sons,
Rock of Platteville, Wis., Joe and Steven, both of South Bend,
Martin of Cicero, Ind., and Jack of Seattle; 11 grandchildren;
four sisters, Dorothy Hector of Palos Heights, Ill., Betty
Jurgensen of Naperville, Ill., Eleanor Schlichter
of Chicago and Peggy Riedle of LaGrange, Ill.; and a brother,
Jack of Albuquerque, N.M. A son, Frank A. Jr., died in 1982.
He was a member of South Bend-Mishawaka
Board of Realtors and St. Patrick's Catholic Church, a veteran of
World War II and a graduate of Loyola University.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in
the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home,
521 N. William St., where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
