Mrs. Clarence (Frances) Riedel
Mrs. Frances L. Riedel, 82, of 709 S. Albert, died at 6:30 am today in St. Joseph's Hospital after a two month illness. She was born on May 9, 1898 in St. Joseph County, and had lived in South Bend all her life. On July 27, 1918, in South Bend, she married Clarence G. Riedel, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Herbert and Dale, both of South Bend; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Millicent Tyler and Mrs. Mary Wiegand, both of South Bend. Services will be at 11 am on Saturday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William. Rev. Dale Speckman, pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Friday in the funeral home. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ to which memorial contributions may be made.
