Clarence G. Riedel
Clarence G. Riedel, 84, of 709 S. Albert, died at 6:30 am today
at the Cardinal Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was a
retired machinist form Dodge Mfg., Mishawaka. Born on Feb. 12,
1896, in South Bend, he lived here all his life. On July 27,
1918, in South Bend, he married Frances Wiltfong, who died Dec.
24, 1980. He is survived by two sons, Herbert and Dale, both of
South Bend, six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two
brothers, Herman and John both of South Bend. Friends may call
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday in the Welsheimer Funeral
Home, 521 N. William. He was a member of Zion United Church of
Christ. He was a World War I Army veteran and a member of
American Legion Post 303. Memorial contributions may be made to
the church.
