Daniel Dean Ricker, 72, of South
Bend, Ind., died on Saturday, Sept. 9, in his home.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1928, to the late Max
John Ricker and Florence Meta Ricker, and was also
preceded in death by his twin brother, John Joseph Ricker.
Mr. Ricker was a South Bend resident all of
his life. Mr. Ricker was a United States Army veteran of the
Korean War. He retired after 35 years of service at Bendix. He
was also a member of the Knights of Columbus golfing league, and
was an active member of the St. John of Damascus congregation.
On June 2, 1956, in South Bend, he married
Bernice Cochran, who survives. He is also survived by his
brother, William; his daughters, Deborah and Diane (Jim); his
son, Michael (Lisa); and by his granddaughter, Bianca.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on
Wednesday, Sept. 13, in St. John of Damascus Melkite, 839
Woodcliff Drive (southwest corner of Corby and Woodcliff), with
Rev. Robert L. Kerby officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 3 to 8
p.m. today, Sept. 12, in the McGann Funeral Homes, University
Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
the charity of donor's choice.
