LAKEVILLE - Services for Louis C. Richter Sr., 74, of East Washington Street, who died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.

Mr. Richter retired from Wilson Agri Service after 25 years of service. He was born Feb. 4, 1921, in St. Joseph County. He is survived by a companion, Helen Gerencser, with whom he made his home; four daughters, Charlotte Glover of McRae, Ark., Shirley Drzewiecki of Mishawaka and Linda Peterson and Susan Bogard, both of Walkerton; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Pinckert of Lakeville and Hilda Nordman of Mishawaka; and three brothers, Carl Bunch and Charles Bunch, both of South Bend, and Leonard Odiorne of Phoenix. Three sons preceded him in death: Louis C. Jr. on Oct. 11, 1994, Mike L. on July 13, 1984, and James E. on Sept. 2, 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II and member of American Legion Post 363.
