South Bend Tribune – Services for Ruth G. Rich, 86, of St. Paul’s Retirement Community, who died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday in the nursing home, will be at 3 p.m. in Welsheimer Funeral Home. Cremation will take place. Entombment will be at Riverview Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Trust of First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Rich was a former secretary for Continental Bank, Chicago, and the University of Chicago Chapel. She was born Oct. 8, 1905 in Bryant, Ill. and lived in South Bend since 1961, coming from Chicago.
On Oct. 24, 1931, in Chicago, as Ruth Graybeal, she married H. Clifford Rich. He survived, with a son Dr. J. Gordon of West Springfield, Mass.; three grandchildren; a sister, Betty Caldwell of Creston, Colo; and two brothers, Wayne Graybeal of Hall, Mont., and Jake Graybeal of Seattle. She was a graduate of the University of Chicago, a member of the church, Mizpah Class of the church, past secretary of United Methodist Women, and a Budget Corner volunteer.
