SOUTH BEND - Patrick A. Richardson, 49, of South Bend, died Sunday night at his residence due to an extended illness. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Richardson, and by his father, Denis E. Richardson. He is survived by his mother, Janet E. Thompson, and stepfather, Stanley Thompson of South Bend; sisters, Christine (Richardson) Rifley of South Bend, Jeanie Richardson of South Bend, Lynn (Thompson) Kitchen, living in Florida, and Amy Thompson of South Bend; brothers, D. Michael Richardson of South Bend and Todd Thompson, living in Florida. Also surviving are his aunt, Patricia Richardson of Oregon, and uncle, Richard Kitchen of Edwardsburg, MI. Patrick had a generous and giving heart and a good sense of humor. He loved music and playing his harmonica. Although Patrick had no children, he had many nieces and nephews and loved them all. He was known as "Uncle Pat" to many. He will be missed GREATLY!! We love you Pat!

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, in the HICKEY Funeral Homes, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend (between Ironwood and Grape Road), where friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until services.
