5, 1941 - Jan. 28, 2010SOUTH BEND - Nancy M. Richards, 68, passed away at 1:34 am on Thursday, January 28, 2010, in her home after a long battle with cancer. Nancy was born on July 5, 1941, in Union Town, PA to George A. and Dorothy "Dottie" M. (Hiles) McCoy. She was preceded in death by her father, George and by her brother, George "Butch" McCoy. On November 18, 1961, she married Michael B. Richards, he survives along with their three children, Michael Richards, Jr., Steve Richards and Tammy (Doug) Kaser all of South Bend; her six grandchildren, Cory, Lauren, Tony, Brooke, Stevie and Keaton; her great-grandchild, Cameron; and by her mother, Dorothy "Dottie" McCoy of Ohiopyle, PA. Nancy worked for Bertrand Products for 30 years. Her children, grandchildren and family were what she cherished the most. There was no doubt that her grandchildren were the most important in her life. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, February 1, 2010 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
