SOUTH BEND - Mary Jeanette Richards, 77, of North Berry Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 12 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Richards was born on Aug. 31, 1920, in DeLong, Ind., and lived in this area for over 60 years.

On Jan. 26, 1938, in South Bend, as Mary Jeanette Hart, she married Norman ''Bud'' E. Richards, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Sharon (Dale) Coahran and Sandra Storms, both of South Bend; four granddaughters, Lisa Marie (John) Welter of West Palm Beach, Fla., Kelly Rae (Jeffrey) Luepke of Green Bay, Wisc., Kimberly L. (James) Warrner, of Muncie, Ind., and Michelle L. (Todd) Bauer of South Bend; a great-grandson, Travis Gene Warrner of Muncie; and by a brother, William Glant of South Bend.

Mrs. Richards was a member of the West Side Church of Christ. With her husband, she also coordinated and conducted tours for the Bendix retirees.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road, with the Rev. Ed Marang of the West Side Church of Christ officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
