SOUTH BEND - Esther M. Rice, 94, of South 30th Street, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mrs. Rice had been a resident nurse for Dodge Mfg. and Beiger Homes, retiring in 1966. She was born Nov. 27, 1900, in Fulton County.

Surviving are two daughters, Rosella M. Beggs of South Bend and Joanne Mendey of Calumet Park, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Wilson of Mishawaka. She was a member of Pilgrims Chapel, Grand Tower, Ill.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call three hours before services in the funeral home.
