Sallie Ricci, 80, of Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 6:15 a.m. on Monday, June 5.

Mrs. Ricci was born on Dec. 7, 1919, in East Chicago, Ind., as the daughter of the late Charles and Jo (Koscielniak) Olszanski. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Olszanski, Walter Olszanski and Joe Olszanski; and by a sister, Mary Olszanski.

On Dec. 23, 1939, in South Bend, Ind., as the former Sallie Olszanski, she married Alfred Ricci, who also preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1993.

Mrs. Ricci is survived by a sister, Frances "Frankie" Nowaczak of Wheatfield, Ind.; and by a sister-in-law, Yolanda Rossi of Mishawaka, who was like a sister to Mrs. Ricci.

Mrs. Ricci was a long-distance operator at Indiana Bell for 30 years, retiring in 1976.

She was an avid golfer at Eberhart Golf Course, Mishawaka. Mrs. Ricci was a member of the Nine Hole Golf League as well as the Eighteenth Hole Golf League at Eberhart Golf Course.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 9, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating.

Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Osceola, Ind.
