SOUTH BEND - S. Faye Rhymer, 71, of South Bend, Indiana, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Faye was born November 1, 1936, in New Carlisle, Indiana, to George and Pheba (Freel) Kuesport. She was a homemaker.

On June 19, 1954, Faye married Doyal Rhymer, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Michael (Johanna) Rhymer of Kell, Illinois, Tammy Beeman of South Bend and John (Theresa) Rhymer of Nappanee, Indiana; grandchildren, Ryan (Julia) Beeman of South Bend, Indiana, Aaron (Sara) Rhymer of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Andrew and Zachary Rhymer of Nappanee, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Christian, Adrian and Zane; and a brother, Jack (Genevieve) Kuespert of Granger, Indiana. Faye enjoyed stitching plastic canvases, bingo and bowling. She had belonged to the Moose Lodge.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
