O’Neal Reynolds

June 24, 1905 – February 24, 1990

O’Neal Reynolds, 84, of 19542 Palisades St., died at 12:10am Saturday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center.  He retired as custodian of University of Notre Dame Memorial Library in 1972 after ten years of service.

Born June 24, 1905, in Lauderdale Co., TN, he had lived here since 1948, coming from Memphis TN.  On April 27, 1946, in Hernando MS, he married Edith Nicholas, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Sheila Fannin of Mentor OH; a son, Own “Buddy” Reynolds of South Bend; four grandchildren; two sisters, Reci Lee Harrell of Ripley TN, and Mazi Harrell of Halls TN; and a brother, Carl Reynolds of Ripley.  Mr. Reynolds was a member of Community Congregational Church and of Clay Township Senior Citizens Club.

Services will be at 1:30pm Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road.  Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
