SOUTH BEND - Sarah Resnick, 83, of Greensprings Manor, formerly of Emerson Street, died at 4 a.m. today in the nursing home. Mrs. Resnick was born Oct. 17, 1911, in Minsk, Russia, and lived in this area most of her life.

In 1940, in South Bend, as Sarah Shipiro, she married Isadore Resnick. He died March 24, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Faye Resnick of South Bend; and a son, Nathan of Indianapolis.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
