Earl L. Replogle
Earl L. Replogle, 75, of 54410 No. 30th St., died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. Replogle retried from the New York Central Railroad in 1964 after 50 years. Born on Aug. 5, 1900, in LaPorte, he had lived here 51 years, moving from Elkhart. On May 28, 1923, in Elkhart, he married Pauline Atkinson, who survives. Also shriving area brother W. E. Replogle of Chicago and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Weaver of Elkhart and Mrs. Helen Whitecotton of Phoenix, Ariz. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood. Eugene Sweet, past chaplain of the Post 1167, Veterans of Foreign Wars of which Replogle was also a member, will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens by members of Post 1167. Replogle was a World War I veteran and a member of the Railroad Clerks and Steamship Brotherhood and World War I Veterans. Memorial contributions may be made tot he VFW Children's Home, Eaton Rapids, Michigan.
