Robert L. Rensberger Sr.
Jan 19, 1926 -- Dec. 5, 2005
Robert L. Rensberger Sr., 79, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Robert was born on Jan. 19, 1926, in South Bend, to Clement and Dorothy (Wittner) Rensberger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Clement "Bud" Rensberger.
Surviving Robert are his son, Robert L. (Sherry) Rensberger Jr. of Lakeville; and five grandchildren, Michael, Nicole and Daniel Rensberger, and Eric and Adam Schell.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served his country proudly during WW II. He was a machine operator for several dairies for 35 years, most recently McDonald's Dairy in Benton Harbor, MI, and retired in 1986. He was a volunteer for the Lakeville Fire Department. The thing he loved most was spending time with his family.
Family and friends may visit today, Dec. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where services will be held at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. David Cross of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, Elkhart, officiating.
