Jennifer Leigh Remmo, 31, of East
South Street in South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, July
28, 2001. She was born in South Bend on May 25, 1970, to Susan N.
and Clyde J. Remmo Sr. She grew up in South Bend where she
attended Corpus Christi Grade School and LaSalle High School. She
completed her education in the Bethel College Nursing Program.
She began her nursing career in home care, and then joined the
maternal/child ward at Elkhart General Hospital where she
assisted new moms and babies.
She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and
friend. She left behind a daughter, Zoe Isabelle Remmo; two sons,
Xavier Byron and Joel Robert Remmo, all at home; parents, Susan
N. (Nowinski) Remmo of South Bend and Clyde J. Remmo of
Bristol, Ind.; four sisters, Julie Walker of South Bend,
Megan Remmo-Eggers of Niles, Mich., Amy Benjamin of
South Bend and Heidi Remmo of Bristol; and three brothers, Andrew
Remmo of Loveland, Colo., Matthew Remmo of Buchanan, Mich., and
C.J. Remmo of Denver, Colo. She also left behind 10 nieces and
eight nephews, with whom she spent many happy hours teaching them
about nature and the joys of life.
She had passion for life. She enjoyed
writing, dancing, singing, painting, being outdoors, and loved to
spend time at Lake Michigan. Her children were her life, and her
faith kept her going. She always had a kind word for everyone,
friend or stranger. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is now with her Heavenly Father, where her smile will never
dim.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. today, July 31, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
Bendix Drive, South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held
at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, in Holy Cross Catholic Church,
South Bend. Cremation will follow.
