SOUTH BEND - Marjorie Jean Reiter, 86, of South Bend, IN,
passed away at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008, in St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. She was born on March
2, 1922, in Hicksville, OH to Charles Thomas and Thelma Fern (Kyser)
Daniels. On October 22, 1939, in Rochester, IN, she
married Marion E. Reiter, who preceded her in death on November
5, 1994. Mrs. Reiter is survived by six sons, Clark A. (Emily)
Reiter of Plymouth, IN, Stephen D. Reiter of South Bend, IN,
Thomas G. (Maria) Reiter of Novi, MI, Bret E. (Linda) Reiter of
Linden, MI, Timothy F. Reiter of South Bend, IN and Kent A.
(Lori) Reiter of Mishawaka, IN; 11 grandchildren, Kevin A.
(Laurie) Reiter, Kenneth A. (Debbie) Reiter, Troy S. (Kim Buss)
Reiter, Jennifer R. (Michael) Reiter-Vela, Craig G. (Carolina)
Reiter, Ryan T. Reiter, Corey M. Reiter, Sara K. (Michael) McClaran,
Adam M. Reiter, Robert E. (Lindsay) Lusk and Eric G. Reiter. She
is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Nathan Reiter,
Aaron Reiter, Benjamin Reiter, Shane Reiter, Brandi Reiter,
Charlotte Reiter, Clementine Reiter and Cassidy Lusk;
sister-in-law, Zana Daniels of Rochester, IN; two nieces,
Debsie Dyer and Denise Johnson; and nephew, Daniel
Daniels. A brother, Charles Garwood Daniels preceded her
in death. Mrs. Reiter was raised in Plymouth, IN and spent most
of her life in South Bend. She attended the Lakeside Baptist
Church in Lakeville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008, in the Lakeside Baptist Church, 515 Michigan Trail, Lakeville. Rev. Vito Rulli, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the church. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to the Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or the South Bend-Elkhart Audubon Society, P.O. Box 581, Mishawaka, IN 46546 or to the Lakeside Baptist Church.
