Joseph Reiter: (South Bend Tribune 11/20/1974)

Joseph Louis Reiter, 69, of 1635 N. Iowa, died at 5 a.m. today in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a two-week illness. He retired March 17, 1970, as a registered representative of the Thomson & McKinnon Auchinclass Inc. stockbrokers, having worked there 51 years. Born March 17, 1905, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime. On May 30, 1932, he married Eleanor E. Bogacki, who survives. Also surviving are a son Robert J. of South Bend; three granchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ann Vargo and Mrs. Martha Bonek, both of South Bend. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rev, Casimir Grabarz, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral home. Reiter was a member of the Ushers Club of the church.
