Joseph A. Reiter: (South Bend Tribune 2/19/1978)

Services for Joseph A. Reiter, 65, of 1906 Swygart, who died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after an extended illness, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Rev. Leo Wojciechowski, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from noon until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. He was born on March 18, 1912, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident of the city. On May 12, 1934, in South Bend, he married Gertrude Jurgonski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Nowicki of South Bend; a son, Thomas of South Bend; five grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Irene McFarren, Miss Henrietta Reiter, Mrs. Harriett Podemski, Mrs. Genevieve Crothers and Mrs. Loretta Ritschard, all of South Bend. He was formerly employed by the Ellen Marie Draperies.
