March 13, 1915 - April 13, 2000

Henrietta Reiter, 85, of Swygart Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, in her home. Miss Reiter was born on March 13, 1915, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She retired in 1981 from the Bendix Corporation. She was a member of the Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, the Bendix Retirees Club and Bendix U.A.W. Local #9. She is survived by her sister, Loretta Ritschard of Osceola, Ind.; 12 nieces, Dorothy Anderson, Mary Jo Jeziorski, Sandy Demitruk, Susan Paulin, Christine Higgins, Debra Canfield, Kathy DeLee, Pauline Nowicki, Rebecca Parakowski, Marsha Yakim, Jo Ann Podemski and Barbara St. Germaine; nine nephews, Bernard Crothers, Allen Crothers, David Crothers, Robert Crothers, Thomas Reiter, Walter Kroll, Jr., Frederick Kroll, Jay Ritschard and Jeffrey Ritschard; great niece, Charlotte Kroll; great nephews, Walter Kroll III, Kyle Higgins, and Eric Higgins; and by numerous other great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Julius and Joseph Reiter; and by five sisters, Irene McFarren, Esther Kroll, Dorothy Reiter, Harriet Podemski and Jerry Crothers. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 16, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. Services will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 17, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church Building Fund, 829 W.
