Eleanor E. Reiter

Feb. 20, 1909 - May 1, 1997

Eleanor E. Reiter, 88, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 1997, at 6:30 p.m. in the nursing home.

Mrs. Reiter was born on Feb. 20, 1909, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident. In South Bend, as Eleanor E. Bogacki, she married Joseph L. Reiter who died on Nov. 20, 1974. Survivors include a son, Robert J. Reiter and his wife, Jeanne of Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kathleen Fearheiley, David Reiter, and Karen Cichy all of Fort Myers, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Wiskotoni of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and a brother, Clem Bogacki of South Bend.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. this afternoon in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Reiter was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish and the Rosary Society. Kaniewski Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
