Feb. 24, 1955-July 5, 1994 SOUTH BEND – Craig R. Reiter, 39, of North Ironwood Drive, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis, after an illness. Mr. Reiter was employed by Hermann & Goetz Services Inc. He was born Feb. 24, 1955, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. On Aug. 13, 1977, in Peru, Ind., he married Carita L. “Cari” Mathern. She survives with two daughters, Erin Marie and Jenifer Leah, both at home; his parents, Rosemary and John Reiter of St. Joseph; two sisters, Christine Hughes of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Karen Kubsch of South Bend; and a maternal grandfather, Andrew A. Toth of South Bend. He was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School and played on the football and baseball team, and was a graduate of Indiana Central College, Indianapolis, lettering in football and was captain of the football team. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the Erin and Jenifer Reiter Trust Fund, in care of Society Bank.
