Florence Reiner

Florence Reiner, 94, who resided in her daughter's home on Barryknoll Way, Granger, Ind., passed away in the presence of her family in the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001. Mrs. Reiner was born on May 16, 1907, in South Bend, Ind., to Martin and Juliana Griman. She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica, D.F.V. German Club Ladies Auxiliary, and the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. On Oct. 1, 1929, in South Bend, as Florence Griman, she married Emery Reiner, who died on Oct. 25, 1972. Florence was also preceded in death by thee sisters, Julia Griman, Marie Kramer and Martha Nagy; a brother, Carl J. Griman; and by a grandchild. She is survived by a daughter, Lorraine (Peter) Ryan of Granger; two sons, Richard E. (Dawn) Reiner of Granger and Ronald J. (Shirley) Reiner of Claredon Hills, Ill.; and by 17 grandchildren and 21 great- grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m.
