Sister Mary Eustelle CSC, 91, of the Sisters
of Holy Cross, died at 1 a.m. Friday in Saint Marys Convent
following a prolonged illness. Born Annie M. Reilly in Ireland in
1871, she came to the United States in 1900 where she entered the
Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. Receiving the
habit that same year. She made her final vows in 1906. She
received her nurses education and served principally in St. Marys
Hospital in Cairo, Ill. She also was assigned to Our Saviours
Hospital, Jacksonville, Ill.; St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend;
Holy Cross Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah; and St. Alphonsus
Hospital, Boise, Idaho. Illness brought her retirement in 1954 to
St. Marys Convent.
The requiem high mass will be offered in the
Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Marys at 6 a.m.
Saturday with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
