MISHAWAKA - Alice "Marion" Reihl, 84, of
Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008,
in Fountainview Place of Mishawaka at the age of 84. Marion was
born on February 28, 1924, in South Bend, to Herschel and Garnet
(Rose) Lutes. On January 24, 1948, in Mishawaka,
she married Rex M. Reihl. Rex preceded Marion in death on January
31, 1986. She was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Max
Reihl on November 9, 2003; and by a brother, Earl Lutes.
Marion is survived by her children, Dee (Beverly) Reihl of Sandy, Utah, Rebecca (Robert) Shuey of Mishawaka; a granddaughter, Jennifer Reihl of South Bend; along with six other grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie (William) Waidner of Morrow, OH, and Norma Howard of Mishawaka; and three sisters-in-law, Ruth Lutes of South Bend, Betty Jo Reihl of Mishawaka and Barbara Reihl of Mishawaka. Marion was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Woodmen Group. She was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. Marion had many various callings in the church. She loved to serve others and loved her family.
Family and friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services sill be on Monday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 930 Park Place, Mishawaka, where visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
