Blair E. Reese

SOUTH BEND - Blair E. Reese, 76, of Tallyho Drive, died at 10:53 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Reese retired from U.S. Postal Service after 27 years of service and was a former employee of United Engineering, Vandergriff, Pa. He was born Aug. 31, 1919, in West Moreland, Pa., and lived in South Bend for 27 years. On March 1, 1969, in South Bend, he married Lea J. DeVliegher. She survives with a son, Fred Stroobandt of Michigan City; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, Little Flower Catholic Church, and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where a wake will be at 7:30 p.m.
