Richard R. Reed, 69, of 118 S. William St., died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital. He was a former metal finisher. Born Jan. 4, 1902 in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime. Surviving are a son, Chester, with the U.S. Marine Corps; two brothers, John Pawliske of Bristol, Ind., and Mike Plotts of Lydick, and a sister, Mrs. Verna Schultz of Mishawaka. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Bilancio-Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph R. Crowley, rector of St. Matthew’s Cathedral, officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
