Funeral services for Rev. James Ready CSC, aged 71, who died Thursday night after a long illness in the community infirmary at Notre Dame, will be conducted at 8 o’clock Saturday morning on the University of Notre Dame campus.

Father Ready, a former professor of mathematics at the university, was rector of Sorin hall, senior dormitory, from 1900 until 1903. He was born in Franklin Square, Ohio, in 1865, and entered the Congregation of Holy Cross Aug. 15, 1895. He was ordained two years later.

A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church and burial will be in the Community Cemetery.
