SOUTH BEND - Rev. Stanislaus J. Rdzok, CSC, 74, of Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday in his residence.

Rev. Rdzok entered the Novitiate of the Holy Cross Fathers and Brothers, Rolling Prairie, on Aug. 15, 1941; and pronounced his first vows Aug. 15, 1942; and his perpetual vows on Aug. 16, 1945. He was ordained as a priest on June 8, 1949. He was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Chicago. He is survived by a sister, Sister M. Julian Rdzok, TOSF, Chicago; and a brother, Chester of Arvada, Colo. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Holy Cross College, Washington, D.C.

He served as assistant pastor at St. Stanislaus Parish from 1949-53; St. Hedwig Parish from 1953-65; Holy Trinity Parish, Chicago; and served as pastor of Christ the King Catholic Church until 1976, and assistant pastor the past two years.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Basilica. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Notre Dame.

Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today in Moreau Seminary, where a wake will be at 7:30 p.m. today. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
