Raymond H. Rans

June 11, 1914 - Sept. 11, 1999

Raymond H. Rans, of Lake Trail, Lakeville, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 1999, in his home. He was born June 11, 1914, in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Ernest & Mabel Rans, and has lived in the Lakeville area most of his life. On August 26, 1961, in South Bend he married Dorothy H. Fall, she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Michael R. Rans of South Bend, and James R. Rans of Granger; a step daughter Phyllis Geyer of Lakeville. Also surviving is four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rans was a World War II Army Veteran, a member of American Legion Post #363 in Lakeville, and member of Local 213 International Brotherhood of Carpenters.

Services for Mr. Rans will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, in Palmer Funeral Home, 314 South Michigan Street, Lakeville. Rev. David Cross, pastor of Lakeville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville.
