MRS. VERNON L. RANS
  Mrs. Myra L. Rans, 70, of 1002 E. Miner St., died at 11:05 a.m.
Monday in the Cardinal Nursing Home after an extended illness.  SHe
was retired from the W. T. Grant Co.  She was born in South Bend Dec.
15, 1902, and was married Feb. 15, 1932, in Mishawaka to Vernon L.
Rans who survives.  Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wallace
Ross of Elkhart, five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Snyder of
Lakeville, and a brother, Samuel Cormican of Riverview, Fla.
  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday in the Hollis Funeral Home, South Bend Chapel, where
services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday.  Rev. Leland R. Kennedy,
pastor of the Twin City Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be
in Southlawn Cemetery.  Mrs. Rans was a member of the Twin City
Baptist Church.
