SOUTH BEND - Bernice Ransdell, 81, of
4600 W. Washington St., died at 5:40 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph
Care Center, West. Mrs. Ransdell was born Oct. 7, 1913, in
Toronto, and lived here since 1981, coming from Elizabethtown,
Ky.
In Alexandria, La., as Bernice Conklin,
she married Edward Newcomb. He died in 1964. Then in
Elizabethtown, she married George Ransdell. He died in 1974.
Surviving are a sister, Jeanne Goheen of South Bend, and
several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place, with burial at a later date in Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, Miss. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
