Cleo E. Ransberger, 91, of East
Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind.,
passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, in the Saint Joseph
Regional Medical
Center, Mishawaka,
after an illness.
Cleo was born on Nov.
10, 1912, in Tyner, Ind.,
as the son of the late Jonathon P. and Elvy J.
(Bradley) Ransberger. He was also preceded in death by three sons, Ronald,
Daniel and John, and by four sisters and three brothers.
On Jan.
23, 1932, in Mishawaka,
he married the former Maude E. Gorman, who preceded him in death on Dec.
6, 2003. Cleo is survived by two sons, Donald R. (Joan) Ransberger
of South Bend, Ind., and Dennis P. (Sandra) Ransberger of Mishawaka; 17
grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and
his daughter-in-law, Joan Ransberger of Mishawaka.
Cleo was transportation manager
with Union Oil of California from where he retired in 1969. He was a member
of Community Brethren
Church, Mishawaka.
Cleo enjoyed his gardening, watching the stock market, fishing and Notre Dame
football. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Cleo will
be truly missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.
Friends may visit with the
family from 3 to 7
p.m. today, Dec. 14, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505
W. 8th St., Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
on Monday, Dec. 15, in the Hahn Funeral Home, where friends may call one hour
before services. The Rev. Gene Eckerly will
officiate. Burial will be at Fairview
Cemetery, Mishawaka.
