MISHAWAKA - Charles J. "Chuck" Ransberger, Jr., 65, of Mishawka, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 in his home. Chuck was born September 20. 1944 in Mishawaka, a son of Charles and Margaret (Schelstraete) Ransberger, Sr. He spent most of his life in Mishawaka. Chuck served his country in the US Army from 1965 - 1967. Chuck was a caring and loving man who opened his arms and heart to others. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Chuck's surviving family includes his father, Charles, Sr.; a sister, Diane; a brother, Michael; and close friends who he thought of as family, Pete, Bob and Mark. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret. Private burial will take place today (Friday) in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Arrangements are in the care of Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, Mishawaka.
