Devout Christian,
loving wife, mother and grandmother, Lillian R. (Lil) Rajski, age
75, of Pear Rd., South Bend, IN, died at 10:16 p.m. Monday in St.
Joseph's Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 9,
1924, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs.
Rajski was the daughter of Steven and Bertha (Frankert) Curtis,
who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were two
sisters, Florence Nemeth and Margaret Turk; and a brother, Steven
Curtis.
On October 23,
1943, in Miami, FL, as Lillian Curtis, she married Archie Rajski,
who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Kathy (George) Heyse
of Mishawaka, a son, Dennis (Michaela) Rajski of South Bend; ten
grandchildren, Tery Young, Tami and Kert Parsley, Jennifer and
Kevin Borsch, Traci Young, Trevor and Ivy Young, Christopher
Rajski and Dawn Rajski; five great-grandchildren, Heather and
Christian Heyse, Konner and Kase Parsley, and Grant Borsch; two
sisters, Katheryn (Edward) Polcyn and Marie Stickler, both of
South Bend; and two brothers, Amos Curtis of Gretna, LA, and Alex
(Loretta) Curtis of South Bend.
There will be no
visitation. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
at Monson Chapel. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road,
is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Rajski was a
member of Monson Chapel and Bowlers Country Club.
In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Monson
Chapel, 24172 State Rd 2, South Bend, IN 46619.
Lil was a
devout Christian. Jesus was first in her life, then her family
and friends. She went on to be with the Lord with her hands
raised towards heaven.
Isaiah 40-31:
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they
shall mount up with wings of eagles, they shall run and not be
weary, and they shall walk and not faint.
