George Racz (April 11, 1922-April 12, 1996)

STEVENSVILLE - George Racz, 74, of 1537 S. Bonny Bruce, died Friday in Lakeland Medical Center, Berrien Springs, after an illness. Mr. Racz retired from Indiana & Michigan Power as an electrical engineer. He was born April 11, 1922, in South Bend. On Oct. 6, 1951, he married Rose Rokop. She survives with four daughters, Michelle Zandarski of Benton Harbor, Mary Rose Oran of Brighton, Mich., Teresa Case of North Canton, Ohio, and Jacqualine Walker of Howell, Mich.; a son, Michael of Stevensville; and four grandchildren. He was a member of Stevensville American Legion, past member of the advisory board of Intermediate School District, Berrien Springs, and was an Army veteran.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kerley & Starks Funeral Homes, St. Joseph, where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to ARRO of Stevensville or American Diabetes Association.
