Helena V. Quinn

Helena Veronica Quinn, 95, of Kelvin Drive, Tonawanda, New York, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died on Saturday, Nov. 25, in her residence.
Helena was born on Sept. 10, 1905, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Valentine and Emma (Kempner) Hondo. Helena retired as the supervisor of the payroll department from the Bendix Aviation Corporation. She married Edward R. Quinn Sr. on Nov. 29, 1928, in Mishawaka, Ind. He died on Oct. 28, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Edward R. Quinn Jr. in June 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Quinn Madden of Tonawanda; and by 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society of St. Joseph Parish, and was a charter member of the Harvest House.
There will be a memorial Mass later this week in New York. Burial of her ashes will be later in the spring at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, Ind. McGann Funeral Homes, University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Rd., South Bend, are handling the arrangements.
